Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, businesses must:
- Have fewer than 5 employees.
- Be registered and operating in Queensland.
- Have a minimum trading history of one year and a turnover of less than $300,000 for the last financial year.
- Not have received previous Business Basics funding.
This grant is targeted at helping businesses boost their core skills and adopt best practices, focusing on three key areas:
- Professional Business Advice – such as business planning, financial management, and operational efficiency reviews.
- Strategic Marketing Services – including strategic marketing plans and customer relationship management (CRM) implementation.
- Website Build/Upgrades – such as adding eCommerce functionality or integrating with third-party tools.

Key Dates and Application Process
The application process has two stages:
- Stage 1 (ROI): Opens 30 September 2024 and closes 11 October 2024. Selected applicants from Stage 1 will be invited to submit a full application.
- Stage 2 (Full Application): Only those selected from Stage 1 will move forward.
